Not everyone has to be a great singer to be good and they really are not JOKE ACTS!! Joke acts were Wagner who couldnt sing at all and danced really badly. I think if they are marketed well they will be successful. R and Bollie connects with the crowd in such an electric way. She does not have a great voice but she walks into a room an d the room becomes electric. They are not great singers( their voices are not terrible either) but they are great at what they do and seem to have that special something some performers are gifted with i.e Madonna. I am bemused at people calling Reggie and Bollie Joke acts. If you don't like their style of performing fine.but to dismiss them as novelty / can't sing etc is (IMO) wrong. They are predominantly rappers not singers and their chosen genre is mainly Afro beat although they have had to go down a more pop orientated route for XF. It does get a little tiresome continually reading comments about how Reggie and Bollie "can't sing" or if they win it will be the end of XF. If you look at modern day current pop stars,many of them are not actually great singers.they are successful for a variety of reasons,not actually for the quality of their voice. This season he has jigged about the presenters, the format and even at one point the announcer, but Reggie N Bollie’s sound and energy have been the fresh air that Simon Cowell has so desperately sought for his show.
