I honestly feel like I’m working at maybe.50% efficiency of what I could be doing with learning the full capabilities of dorico. It has a pretty sleek interfaces with actual color in tasteful places that make a writing session less.oppressive! the interface is pretty! Now this might seem like an extremely shallow opinion! But if you’re sitting at your computer for hours a day makinf music.you don’t wanna be staring at the lifeless grays and beige of finale and Sibelius. (Although, if you were going to REALLY invest in good ORGANIC INSTRUMENT playback, get note performer- it’s only like 10 bucks a month for pretty great realistic sounds) It is absolutely a great asset to you if you’re the type WHOS concerned with making a good playback. I actually have submitted pretty great products to my colleges in electronic music from the Halion Sonic SE Instrument library.
If I were to guesstimate.I’d say there’s at least 200-300 sounds to play with, with options in the symphonic realm of actual instruments, special FX and weird textural things, and a strong arsenal of synth pads, leads, basses and RHE such. Access to the Halion Sonic SE library, which holds a GARGANTUAN amount of VST and MIDI instruments with adjustable mixer/effect options for each sound.
